Despite being pretty new on the scene, Dunder have quickly established themselves as a go-to destination for casino gaming. The site, brought to us by our Swedish chums, was launched in 2016 offering a modern, classy alternative to other casinos on the web. Let’s find out what they’re all about.
With a ton of experience in the gaming industry, plus being players themselves, the guys behind Dunder were determined to create something different. Focusing on smart design and simplicity they wanted to make their casino both beautiful and easy to use.
Better by design
The site’s design is a cut above the average casino. You won’t find jazzy graphics or an overload of cartoon characters here. The Dunder team have considered what they see as important to you, the casino player. So out goes the clutter and complication. In comes, a lightning fast website across all devices, quick navigation, search and payment features. All backed up with comprehensive customer support. They call it a casino created for you.
When you sign up, everything is really simple. You enter your email and create a password. Then after adding your details and phone number, you’ll be sent an SMS text with a code. Once you enter the code on-site, you’re in!
On the homepage, you’re presented with a delightful scenic coastal background, a cheery greeting and an inspirational quote. Now, this may make you wonder if you’ve arrived on the quite the right site. But as I said, Dunder like to do things a shade differently.
Big bonuses for Brits
Dunder aren’t just about looking pretty, they also a decent welcome bonus package for all new UK players.
The ‘Dunder Bonus’ as they like to call it, offers a quality mix of free spins and deposit bonuses. 20 free spins on the NetEnt favourite Starburst will get you started. They follow this up with a sweet 200% first deposit bonus which is worth up £50. So if you put in £25, you’ll have £75 in total to play with.
What’s more, you’ll get another 180 Starburst spins over the following nine days from your first deposit.
It doesn’t stop there either. They give you chance to get further deposit bonuses. For your 2nd deposit, you can get a 50% match up to £150. While there’s a 25% bonus up for grabs for your third deposit. This is worth up to £400 in total.
The terms and conditions aren’t too heavy when it comes to wagering requirements and other need to knows. Any winnings from the Starburst free spins require betting through 25x. The deposit bonuses need to be wagered 25x the combined value of the deposit and bonus.
There are a small number of slot restrictions. No real surprises here with high RTP titles such as BloodSuckers and Kings of Chicago excluded. Check the full list on their site. Also, the max bet is £5 or 50p per line. Table games contribute 10% and Video Poker is zero.
Just be sure to read all the terms and conditions here before you start playing. You have to opt in each time for the deposit bonuses, so make sure you do before making a payment.
The offer is open to over 18s and new UK customers only. Always gamble responsibly. BeGambleAware
Simplicity is key
Finding your way around the site is a doddle. The Dunder team have made things as easy as possible with simple, clear menus at the top and side. Clicking your account balance brings up a bar below which shows your current real and bonus funds. Plus, you can access your account history and the deposit and withdrawal menus.
The ‘Home’ button will naturally bring you back to the main site page. While clicking ‘Games’ presents you with everything you need to find your favourite and recently played games and much more.
If you prefer, you can access everything from the left-hand side menu. To access it, you click the ‘hamburger’ icon next to the Dunder logo in the top-left. The menu will then pop out, from there you can find all your settings, help facilities and games.
Gaming choices to the max
Dunder offers a massive selection of games available from all the biggest and best software developers. They’ve partnered up with big hitters such as NetEnt, Microgaming/Quickspin, NextGen, Thunderkick, Elk, Big Time Gaming and many more. So they are overflowing with 1000+ games, featuring new titles and your favourites.
All the games are presented in an easy to view titled format, something used by many casinos. Dunder has taken this to the next level with a number of features. They’ll show you a selection of recommended titles. Plus, you have the ability to mark your own favourites with the heart symbol. So you’ll be able to quickly access them rather than having to search through each time.
Another great game selection feature is the way Dunder have categorized everything. Many traditional casinos might put all the Blackjack or Live Casino games in one place. Dunder goes one step further. So if you’re a fan of slots that feature ‘Free Spins’ and you’re not sure what to play next then Dunder have it covered. Just click the ‘Free Spins’ tile and then you’ve got lots of great games to check out, all with your favourite feature.
They’ve literally covered everything. So there are slots with expanding wilds, sticky wilds, stacked wilds! Then there are various themes such as horror, animals and mythology. Not forgetting progressive jackpot slots and bonus games. You name, it’s there! Just like individual games, you can save categories and themes as favourites too for easy access. A superb, easy to use, feature.
It was simple to find my favourite games, such as Bonanza, using the search bar facility. I was also able to see which games they had from the Rainbow Riches series from SGI/Barcrest.
Dunder’s live casino is brought to you by Evolution Gaming. It doesn’t appear to have any branded or exclusive Dunder tables. In all honesty, it’s very similar to other Evolution offerings, with a wide selection of BlackJack and Roulette tables. Not a bad thing.
Smooth on the move, but Apple is app-less
Dunder also works well on mobile. I found no issues using the site on mobile browsers such as Safari on IOS and Google Chrome on Android. The main site’s design transports well onto the smaller screen and Dunder have kept those simple, easy to use features.
I haven’t found an app in the Apple’s app store, which is something that surprised me. Especially so, as an Android app is present in the Play Store. The app installed and worked fine on my mobile phone. However, I ran into problems getting it to work on my Samsung tablet. It looks like it may only work on a smartphone as it appears from the permissions that it wants to ‘Allow to make and manage phone calls’.
I’m not entirely sure why that would be and it’s something I need to check on. If you’re uneasy about giving it access to then stick to the mobile site since it works just as well.
Solid banking with a minor catch
Nearly all the main payment services are present and correct on the site. So you’ll find Visa and Mastercard available, together with Skrill, Neteller and Paysafe. There’s no PayPal present, however, there other smaller services are there such as EcoPayz and Trustly. Dunder aims to get your winnings on their way quickly, with withdrawals being processed in less than 24 hours.
Everything is fast and secure with SSL 128-bit encryption running across the entire site. Dunder are regulated by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission. They are operated by MT Secure Trade who also run popular sites such as GUTS. So you know you’re in safe hands.
Slightly disappointing are the card fees for deposits and then additional fees across all payment services for withdrawals. As legislation is changing regarding fees for companies in the UK, I hope we’ll see them removed by casinos based elsewhere in Europe.
Part of the Dunder ethos is high quality, friendly support. The help FAQs are pretty comprehensive and should answer the vast majority of simple queries. If you need to know more, live chat is on hand between 9:00 AM and 11:30 PM. You can also get in touch via email. Sadly, no telephone support is currently available.
Dunder somewhat lacks some of the ongoing promotions you might find elsewhere. Most offers are directly emailed to players, rather than being shown on the site. There’s no comp points or other rewards programme available. They do have VIP offers though. Again players will be contacted directly if they are eligible.
Dunder isn’t the flashiest or loudest site on the web. However, it offers some top notch casino gaming entertainment in a sleek, well-designed environment. The comprehensive use of game categories is an excellent feature which more sites should consider. Dunder is the epitome of simplicity and ease of use. Everything works just as it should.
Their welcome bonus package for UK players is generous enough to offer you plenty of play and winning opportunities.
The only negatives are the lack of obvious on-going promotions and no gaming experience features. Plus, the banking fees are a bit of a gripe.
When considering Dunder, it’s an easy decision to add them to my recommended list. While they just don’t quite hit the top award, they are still a relatively new casino. I can definitely see them building on their current success, bringing new and innovative features to players.
