Our Swedish friends, not content with exporting the likes of Abba, Ikea and Zlatan to the world, have created something very special for all igaming fans. Based in Malta and licensed by the Malta Gaming Authority and the UK Gambling Commission, Videoslots was launched by Panda Media in 2011.

Since then Videoslots has won a hatful industry and player awards for its innovation, slots, gaming experience and more. Year in, year out they’ve been building their reputation as the number one go-to destination for all things slot related. Let’s check them out in this in-depth review.

More slots than you can possibly imagine

The numbers don’t lie, they truly are the largest online casino around. Their latest games tally stands at a staggering 2174 slots and games across the site from over 40 software developers such as Big Time Gaming, Microgaming/Quickspin, NetEnt, IGT, Play N Go, Thunderkick, Cryptologic, Yggdrasil, NextGen and more. There’s simply way too many to list!

You’ll find all the latest titles hitting the market plus mega-popular slots like Bonanza, Danger High Voltage, Raging Rhino, Gonzo’s Quest and Immortal Romance.

You can check out everything on offer through the ‘All Games’ menu. From there you can search by individual title, software provider or game type. For example, say you wanted to try out a slot that has a random wilds feature. You can narrow down the list by selecting ‘Random Wilds‘ from the drop-down menu, then choose from those titles listed. That’s a really good feature!

The left-hand side menu allows you to select the category of game. New games are clearly highlighted and you can save your favourites by clicking the star icon next to the game’s name.

Lovers of casino games also included

It’s not only about regular video slots, there’s a whole bunch progressive jackpot titles, plus Blackjack, Roulette, Video Poker and Scratchcards. Live casino fans aren’t left out either with NetEnt providing a selection of Blackjack and Roulette tables. While the choice is relatively small, the quality is very good. No issues with streaming or placing bets.

Seamless design and navigation

As well as the sheer number of slots and games available, somewhere Videoslots really stands out is the design of the casino.

Games load quickly using the latest browser technology. Logos, animations and backgrounds are all beautifully put together and really add to the overall gaming experience.

While playing, there are lots of on-screen options including increasing or decreasing the game screen size, going full screen or even going multi-screen where you can play up to 4 games at a time!

Fancy some slot multi-tasking?

You can also have the site’s user activity feed running to see what others are playing and get notified of their big wins. Other options include opening your trophy cabinet to see the various fun awards you’ve picked up.

Across the bottom of the website, the bar menu gives you fast access to a number of useful functions. These include the site search, new games, featured titles, what’s and most popular, as well as your favourites and recently played. In the bottom right-hand corner is the notification pop-up. This shows all sorts of info such as awards, rewards and your latest position in the weekly casino slot race. More on that a little later.

From the profile menu on the home page, you can find everything you might want to know about your bonuses, achievements and game play history. You can cash in free spin rewards, giving you the opportunity to rack up some free cash, plus find other nice unexpected bonuses.

Bonus offer with a big win opportunity

To get you going on your slot gaming odyssey, the Videoslots team offers you a welcome gift of £10 extra plus a 100% match bonus up to £200, with a 20x wagering within 7 days.

Videoslots Casino Welcome Bonus 2018

Now the bonus is a little different to elsewhere as the bonus money is paid out in 10% increments. So to get the full bonus amount, you’ll need to wager £2000, topping up your deposit if you wish. You do have the option of forfeiting the bonus early and taking your combined winnings and released bonus funds. Only what remains of the unreleased bonus balance will be forfeited.

You’ll get your £10 extra cash when you make a minimum £10 deposit. This bonus needs to be wagered 25x before withdrawal.

Something else to be aware of is that different slot RTPs (Return to Player) contribute different amounts to the wagering. So for every 0.01% over 96% RTP of a specific game gives 0.25% less (max 75%) contribution to the WR and every 0.01% under 96% RTP of a specific game gives 0.25% extra (max 75%). FYI – Roulette, Blackjack, etc. have a fixed 10% valuation and Jackpot games contribute zero.

This may seem a bit complicated, however, here’s a simple example. Gonzo’s Quest has a 96% RTP so it contributes 100% to the WR, whereas Starburst has a 96.1% RTP so it contributes 97.5% to the WR.

The maximum spin/bet size is either 50% of your deposit, up to £20.

Considering the generosity of the bonus and low wagering requirements, I think these terms are totally reasonable and providing you plenty of opportunities to hit a nice win without the endless wagering or winning limits found elsewhere.

Videoslots also add in 11 extra spins on Starburst when you make your first deposit. Any winnings you make from the spins are free from wagering and, unlike some other casinos, there’s no maximum withdrawal limit. You have 7 days to activate the bonus, once activated the welcome spins need to be used within 24 hours.

The full welcome offer for UK players is for those over 18 only, new customers only. Terms and conditions apply. Please gamble responsibly. BeGambleAware

Prepare for Battle!

As well as a mammoth amount of game choice, Videoslots has gone to great lengths to innovate and bring fresh new gaming ideas. They’ve achieved this big time with ‘Battle of Slots’. This tournament feature, launched in 2015, allows you to challenge your friends and other players in various game modes by spinning your favourite slots.

Videoslots Battle Information

When you click on the ‘Battle of Slots’ red tab link on the right hand of your screen, it takes you to the lobby. This looks very similar to a standard Poker games lobby. Here you’ll find the choice of various Sit & Go games and scheduled battles.

Each battle is listed with its start time, battle prize pool, type, the slot game played, category (either normal or freeroll), buy-in cost in Euros, current status and how many players have enrolled.

If you click on a battle, you get all its info in a box on the right-hand side of the lobby. So, for example, you can find out how long the battle duration is, how many spins you’ll play and the spin value. You can click on the battle lobby to find out further details on things such as the prize pool breakdown, the current scoreboard standings and more. Or you can simply register and get into the action once the battle has started.

The Sit & Go games allow you to face off against friends or other players. This can be with up to five people or a winner takes all head-to-head. You can take on your pals and have a laugh with the built-in chat.

The scheduled battles start at a set time as long as the minimum number of people have registered. You can register up to an hour early and then come back once the battle has started. Also, you can register to play once a battle is already running.

Some scheduled battles allow a number of re-buys, so you can boost your points score. Plus a number of freerolls are available each day for all eligible players, offering prizes such as thousands of free spins.

When you enter the game slot, you set the slot value and then keep spinning until you’ve no more spins left. On the left-hand side, you’ll be able to keep tabs on your own and the leaders’ current position, the score and number of remaining spins. Below this is the battle chat box.

Once you’ve finished, if the battle doesn’t allow a re-buy, you’ll get your final total and the game is over. Then you wait until the end of the battle to see where you’ve finished and if you won part of the prize pool.

It all works beautifully well. I played a number of different game types for the review and enjoyed them immensely. I even had a bit of success on NetEnt’s Jimi Hendrix, coming in 5th and scooping 22 Euros prizes. Nice!

It’s a really fun addition and adds a totally new dimension to slot play which can be slightly solitary and not very social. Big thumbs up!

Rewards that really give something back

Videoslots doesn’t skimp on promotions either. There’s the Weekly Casino Race where you can pick up free cash simply for depositing and playing your favourite slots. Thousands and thousands of players get paid out on Monday each week, so it’s not just for high rollers.

The Weekend Booster also rewards players, with Videoslots giving 25% of their weekly profits back into players’ accounts. The more you play, the more you’ll get paid on Friday, up to £300 a day! Like the money from the casino race, it’s all free cash with no wagering. Can’t argue with that!

Excellent, helpful support team

If you need a bit of help, Videoslots have got things covered. While there isn’t a contact telephone number, there is live chat and email. Also, a set of well put together FAQs and responsible gambling are easily found.

I’ve found support chat to be very friendly and helpful, answering questions without difficulty. Not giving you the useless scripted responses you receive from some other gambling sites. When I have had a minor card issue, it was sorted out in a quick and trouble-free manner. Excellent!

There’s plenty of individual game help to hand too, with info on how to play and the rules found within a couple of clicks.

Another great feature is the game payout transparency. From the main menu, you can click on ‘Game Payouts’ and compare a slot’s theoretical RTP (Return to Player) and its actual one on the site. This gives you a real idea of whether a slot is currently hot or not.

A little room for mobile improvement

Mobile is an area where Videoslots is a little weaker. Unfortunately, at the time of writing, there are neither apps for Apple IOS users or Android. That’s a bit disappointing. However, the browser versions work quite well, both are reasonably responsive. Although the side menus on my Samsung tablet looked a bit odd, probably a screen scaling issue. You’ll still have a decent enough mobile experience, but I’ve seen better.

Super secure

With banking, most payment types are catered for, nearly everyone you’d want to use such as Visa, Mastercard, PaySafe etc plus e-wallets like Skrill and Neteller. Paypal is missing though and would make a good addition.

You’ll find no issues depositing, security is solid, using 128-bit SSL encryption and ID verification is very thorough. So much so that I had to re-verify my new debit card when I received it from my bank.

Payment times are pretty good, I’ve had a debit card withdrawal in a couple of days. E-wallets are within 24 hours and usually much faster.

The lowdown

Videoslots are absolutely unbeatable when it comes to slots, nothing even comes close. I’ve been a member for many years and I’m extremely impressed with the ever-increasing range of games they have on offer. Tons of thought has been put into site design and developing groundbreaking ideas that boost fun and excitement.

In addition to the generous welcome bonus offer, rewarding every player and not just those the deepest pockets is refreshing. You’ll see free spin and other bonuses often pop-up in play and I’ve had free spin codes sent via email. It’s fantastic to see a casino that has taken time and effort in so many areas.

Apart from a middling mobile and slightly limited live casino experience, it’s very tough to find any real negatives.

So without hesitation, Videoslots is right at the top of the highly recommended list, so sign up today.
